I felt the urge to pick up another John O'Donohue book (after falling in awe reading his Anam Cara, The Four Elements, Eternal Echoes & Connemara Blues)
Why is this book high vibrational?
Divine Beauty is high vibrational because it guides us through new portals of perception. This book helps us see the richness and simplicity of beauty in every crevice of human experience.
It deepens our concept of beauty, extending beyond the surface and into the sacred. It’s one of the author’s most relatable books. Although often through Irish-Celtic lenses, it brings our divine awareness into universal themes such as colour, human faces, the breath, music, dance, language and intimacy and how we can reconnect in a deeper and more fulfilling way.
Divine Beauty challenges the numbed sense of wonder in our world and elevates our vision to look beyond the mundane, appreciating the transcendent qualities beauty can reveal.
John highlights the paradox of having to bring our light into our daily activism. Whether it's the struggle against the prohibitions, imperialism, racism, femicide, inequality, pollution - if we allow ourselves to be weighed down by the low vibrations, we may become ineffective in our missions.
I love this author for many reasons – some which I don’t have the language for. Similar to a psychedelic trip, it changes our consciousness and presents the task of integrating these new ways of being after the experience.
